A character study taking in the effect on two young boys of their parents divorce. This is the only Noah Baumbach directed film I have seen and I really enjoyed it. It had a real Wes Anderson feel about it which is not surprising when you consider that Baumbach has also written two Anderson directed flicks (The Life Aquatic with Steve Zissou and The Fantastic Mr. Fox).
Jeff Daniels as the miserable father is the highlight but Laura Linney is also good and a young Jessie Eisenberg and Owen Cline as the children more than hold their own. The soundtrack is pretty cool too. At only 80 minutes this Oscar nominated film (Best Screenplay) is definitely worth a look.
