Title: A Reasonable Request

Director: Andrew Laurich

Released: 2015

Length: 9 minutes

Well…

Without giving anything away A Reasonable Request is a pretty shocking concept. A clearly perturbed son asks his Dad for an uncomfortable favour. Despite being about as taboo as anything can be, Andrew Laurich’s short film still has a couple of laugh out loud moments and the chemistry between Stephen Ellis and John Ennis adds credence to a short film that could so easily have been unsuccessful.

Whilst not quite as funny as the Nick Offerman starring masterpiece The Gunfighter, the controversial subject matter at least ensures that A Reasonable Request will not be forgotten in a hurry. The fact that the two leads totally commit to an awkward script also helps.
