Horrible Bosses 2 – 8/10

Surprisingly good comedy sequel.

A lot of people will dismiss Horrible Bosses 2 as just another average comedy sequel but they shouldn’t. This is a film that contains three Oscar winners in Kevin Spacey, Jamie Foxx and Christoph Waltz. Anyone who watches It’s Always Sunny in Philadelphia or Arrested Development already knows about Charlie Day and Jason Bateman and Jason Sudekis has been in everything from SNL to 30 Rock to Eastbound & Down as well as the first Horrible Bosses outing obviously.

Horrible Bosses had a simple, unoriginal plot but one that is rife for comedy in the hands of such skilled comedy veterans, as well as a hilarious turn from Kevin Spacey as Bateman’s terrifying, intimidating, emasculating boss. Horrible Bosses 2 however has a much less inspired plot about kidnapping but the three leads have such great chemistry together that it doesn’t matter. I can’t remember the last time that I laughed this much at a film and also the last time that I walked out of comedy with four or five memorable scenes that I was still chuckling about. 22 Jump Street was really well received but this is much funnier.
